On Jan. 11, the School invited Mr. Chen Guoquan, professor and doctoral supervisor of Zhejiang University, to give a lecture on "The Logic of Power Constraint and Supervision in the Perspective of Functional Separation of Powers Theory". Gao Qingguo, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and Dean of the School of Discipline Inspection and Supervision, Li Bingshuo, Executive Dean of the School of Discipline Inspection and Supervision and Dean of the School of Law, as well as relevant leaders and teachers of the School of Discipline Inspection and Supervision, the School of Law and the School of Discipline Inspection and Supervision and more than 150 graduate students attended this online lecture. Professor Yu Xiaoqi, Vice Dean of the School of Discipline Inspection and Supervision and Vice Dean of the School of Law, presided over the lecture.
Professor Chen Guoquan started from discussing the two different systems of power control, namely constraint and supervision, and took China and the United States as examples to point out the impact of the difference in the economic basis of public or private ownership on the form of government, which triggered the participating students and faculty to think about the theory of functional decentralization.
This lecture is the second lecture of discipline inspection and supervision series of Hailan Foundation academic lectures. The college will continue to use the platform of Hailan Foundation academic lectures and other lectures to continuously invite famous experts and scholars from home and abroad to continuously strengthen academic exchanges and promote the construction and development of discipline inspection and supervision college.
