On January 8, 2018, the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council officially announced the examination results of academic degrees authorization in 2017. After expert evaluation, our school was successfully approved as the master's authorization point of first-level discipline of law. This is another important achievement of the discipline construction of our school after the authorization of master of law professional degree in 2013, marking that the discipline of law has entered a new stage of development.

The law school of Jiangsu University is one of the earliest engineering colleges in China to offer law major. In recent years, the strength of the law discipline has been steadily improved and remarkable achievements have been made.

Since 2009, it has been approved 10 national social science fund projects, 29 provincial-level research topics such as humanities and social science fund projects of the ministry of education and Jiangsu social science fund projects, 20 published books and textbooks, and the number of CSSCI source journal articles published has been rising for several years. The relevant research results have gained a certain popularity and influence in the domestic academic circle.

The successful approval of the master's authorization point of first-level discipline of law will inject new vitality into the development of the discipline of law of our university, further promoting the condensed direction of the discipline of law, forming a discipline growth point with strong vitality, and contributing to the development of our university and the construction of socialist rule of law.
